Alice Black
Singer-Songwriter
Alice Black is a 13-year-old singer/songwriter from Virginia. She has been performing since age 3, and began writing songs at age 4. She plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele. She enjoys writing historical songs of the old west. Alice's song, "The Town of Bodie" won first place in the youth division of the Richard Leigh Songwriting Competition, and she was a Top-Five Finalist for the Crescendo Award in the International Western Music Association in 2017 and 2018. She was an invited performer at the Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering in 2015, and tours the country with her mother, performing children's concerts in libraries and schools, along with cameo sets of her deeper work in festivals and concert venues.
